Towns of interest
Narberth. (5 mins. Drive)anhistoric market town with 11th Century castle, very good food and clothing shops, several art and craft galleries, Queen’s Hall concert venue, restaurants, pubs and the excellent Ultracomida deli/café. A cultural and shopping mecca in the middle of the countryside.
Tenby and Saundersfoot (15-20mins) Pembrokeshire’s two main holiday centres with great sandy beaches, harbours, supermarkets and plenty of eating houses to enjoy. We like Vista café in Tenby and Mermaid fish restaurant in Saundersfoot
St. David’s. (35mins) The smallest city in the UK. Quaint little place with beautiful Cathedral its main attraction. Nearby access to island boat trips and beaches.
Haverfordwest and Carmarthen. (15-20mins) Large county towns of Pembs and Carms respectively, they are both river based (Cleddau and Towy) with all the amenities you would expect from towns with that status. Havefordwest castle and coracle centre in Carmarthen are interesting attractions. Caerfyrddin (Carmarthen in Welsh) means Merlin’s Fort (yes, that’s Merlin of King Arthur fame)

Natural Attractions
Pembrokeshire boasts many a natural wonder, from the coastal path that runs the entire length of the county shoreline to the bluestone- laden Preseli hills. The rugged cliffs along the coastline tower over many a sandy cove, some only reachable on foot. The blue lagoon near Porthgain is a great sight, Solva harbour near St.Davids is a gem, Llys y Fran reservoir and country park is worth a visit too. The offshore islands such as Skomer, Ramsey, Caldey and Skokholm are fantastic places to see dolphins, seals, puffins and much more. The Gwaun valley has a superb nature reserve and river with canoeing to enjoy. Pendine sands is an enormous stretch of flat beach, famous for staging land speed world record attempts in the past. Bosherston lilly ponds are a must-see. These are just a few of nature’s creations to be savoured around the county.
